LinkedIn is the one platform on this site where the audience is often a single person: a recruiter, a prospect, a hiring manager, an investor. They're not scrolling for entertainment — they're checking whether you're credible before a conversation happens, and the profile does that job whether or not you're active on the platform.
That makes the relevant numbers different from everywhere else. Connections and followers establish network standing; post likes and comments make your content look like it landed with people rather than into silence; endorsements and recommendations are the specific proof-of-competence signals that recruiters filter on. All delivered against your public profile or post URL — never a login.

What do you want more of on LinkedIn?
Connections versus followers, and why 500+ still matters
They're different relationships. Connections are mutual and cap out at 30,000; followers are one-directional and unlimited, which is why people building an audience rather than a network eventually shift toward them. Your posts reach both.
The 500+ display convention persists for a reason: LinkedIn stops showing an exact number past 500, so the profile reads '500+' regardless of whether you have 501 or 5,000. That makes it a genuine visual threshold — below it your precise, small number is on display; above it you're simply in the established bracket. It's an unusually clean example of a number that changes how a profile is read.
Endorsements and recommendations do what posts can't
Most LinkedIn advice is about posting. But a recruiter running a search filters on skills, and endorsements are the signal attached to those skills — a listed skill with no endorsements reads as a self-claim, while an endorsed one reads as corroborated.
Recommendations sit above that: they're written, attributed, and the closest thing the platform has to a reference. They're also the hardest thing to accumulate organically, because asking for them is socially awkward and most people never get round to writing one. That's exactly why a profile carrying several stands out against otherwise identical candidates.
LinkedIn growth — frequently asked questions
Is buying LinkedIn engagement against the terms of service?
LinkedIn's terms discourage artificial engagement, as most platforms' do. We deliver from real accounts rather than bots and never take login access, which keeps your account out of the credential-sharing risk entirely — but this is a professional profile, so it's worth being deliberate about volume and pacing rather than buying a spike.
Do you need my LinkedIn password?
No. Your public profile URL for connections, followers, endorsements and recommendations; a public post URL for likes and comments. Nothing else.
Will post likes help my content reach more people?
Early engagement is one of the inputs LinkedIn uses when deciding how widely to distribute a post, so it can help. It won't rescue a post nobody wants to read — the ceiling is still set by whether the content is worth anyone's time.
Can I choose which skills get endorsed?
Endorsements are delivered against the skills listed on your public profile, so order the skills you want strengthened before placing the order. If a skill isn't listed, it can't be endorsed.
