Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information UseViral collects when you use our site and dashboard, how and why we use it, who helps us process it, and the choices and rights you have. It's written in plain English and forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
1. Who we are
UseViral (operated by UseViral LTD, “we”, “us”, “our”) is the controller of the personal information described here. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email support@useviral.com.
2. Information we collect
We keep this to what we actually need. That's:
- Information you give us: the email address you enter at checkout; the public delivery target (a profile, post, or video URL or username); and, if you create a dashboard account, your name, email, and a password you choose.
- We never ask for or store the password to your social-media account — only the public link or username.
- Payment information: handled directly by our payment provider. We receive a confirmation and limited details (such as the last digits or card type) but never your full card number.
- Information collected automatically: basic usage and device data — pages viewed, approximate location from your IP, browser type, and similar analytics — gathered via cookies and the tools listed below.
- Support and contact messages: anything you send us by email, contact form, or chat.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Process, deliver, and support your orders, and manage your dashboard account and credits.
- Send order confirmations, delivery updates, and support replies.
- Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, and chargebacks.
- Measure and improve how the site and dashboard perform.
- With your consent, send occasional product news and offers — which you can opt out of at any time via the unsubscribe link or by emailing us.
4. Legal bases (for EEA/UK users)
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process your data on these bases: to perform our contract with you (delivering your order and running your account); our legitimate interests (securing the site, preventing fraud, and improving our services); your consent (marketing messages and non-essential cookies); and to comply with legal obligations.
5. Payment information
Payments are processed by our payment provider, Redlap (“Social Empire Pay”), over secure, encrypted connections. Your card details are entered with the provider, not on our servers, and we never receive or store your full card number. The provider processes your data under its own privacy terms.
6. Cookies & similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to run the site, remember your cart, understand usage, and support marketing. Some are essential; others (analytics and marketing) are used with your consent where required. We also store a small amount of data in your browser's local storage — for example, to remember the email you used at checkout and whether you started from the dashboard. You can control or clear cookies and local storage in your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the site works.
7. Analytics & marketing tools we use
We rely on a few trusted third-party tools, each of which processes some data on our behalf:
- Google Analytics 4 — to understand site traffic and usage patterns.
- Sendlane — email and event tracking (for example, product views and cart activity) to send order and marketing messages.
- WebEngage — customer engagement and messaging, including conversion tracking.
- Redlap (Social Empire Pay) — payment processing and your dashboard account.
- For our Instagram lookup tool, we query a third-party API using only the public username you enter, to fetch publicly available profile information.
8. How we share your information
We share only what's necessary, and only with parties that help us run the service: the delivery provider that completes your order (which receives the public target), our payment provider, and the analytics and messaging tools above. These act as our processors under contract. We may also disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or systems. We do not sell your personal information.
9. International transfers
We and our service providers may process your information in countries other than your own. Where we transfer data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required by law.
10. Data retention
We keep order, account, and contact information for as long as needed to provide our services, then only as long as necessary to meet legal, tax, accounting, dispute-resolution, and fraud-prevention obligations. When it's no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
11. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and rate limiting to protect your information, and we don't store card numbers or social-media passwords. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data and to notify you and the relevant authorities where the law requires.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. If you're in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to request deletion, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights — and we confirm we do not sell your personal information. To make a request, email support@useviral.com; we'll respond within the timeframe the law requires and may need to verify your identity first. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
13. Children
UseViral is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has given us their data, contact us and we'll delete it.
14. Third-party links
Our site may link to other websites and platforms we don't control. This policy doesn't cover them, and we're not responsible for their privacy practices — please review their policies before sharing information.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version, with its “last updated” date, is always on this page, and significant changes will be reflected here.
